Absolvement Dungeon Affixes and Voting
Vote, save loadouts, and raise XP only when your lives can actually carry the extra threat.
Dungeon Affixes are the optional modifiers you vote on before a delve starts. They raise enemy pressure in exchange for extra experience and a harder, more Fragment-rich run. In Roblox alpha / early access, Affixes are one of the easiest ways to wipe a good character for no reason—and one of the best ways to farm once you can actually parry the extra rules.
This page is the missing “how Affixes work” guide. Pair it with Dungeon Farming for route discipline and Combat & Parry for the timing those modifiers assume you already have.
How Affix voting works
After you queue from the globe and the party is ready, the Affix screen appears.
- Solo: you choose the set yourself. Choosing nothing is valid and recommended on new slots.
- Party (up to five): the group votes. Community patch notes describe a majority (over 50%) requirement to enable an Affix. If your friends love greed and you are on two lives, say so before the vote locks.
- XP multipliers stack with each enabled Affix. Low-impact rows pay less XP; high and max-tier rows pay more and punish harder.
Public Release v0.0.1 added fourteen new Affixes and reworked the menu so the vote is a party decision, not a silent host toggle. Later alpha work added three save slots so you can store a “learn parries” set, a “farm XP” set, and a “max chaos” set, plus shortcuts to select a whole tier or randomize.
Affix tiers (current alpha language)
Community Trello logs group Affixes by impact. Exact names move, but the shape is stable enough to plan around:
| Tier | Typical XP bump | When to touch it |
|---|---|---|
| Low impact | Small (about 0.02× class) | First extra after clean no-Affix clears |
| Medium impact | Moderate (about 0.04× class) | When mid-dungeon packs are boring |
| High impact | Large | Only with potions, Tree investment, and a caller |
| Max impact | Largest | Challenge / Fragment greed nights |
Recent logs also mention added counts across those tiers (low / medium / high / max). Treat the count as “the menu got bigger,” not as a reason to enable everything.
Example modifier families (re-check tooltips)
These examples appear in community writeups. Always hover the live card—alpha text changes.
- Corrosive / acid leftover — slain enemies leave puddles. Do not stand in your own kill pile.
- Leech — enemies steal a slice of damage back. Chip fights last longer; potions matter more.
- Conductive — sparks jump to you and nearby allies. Parties of five eat this harder than solo.
- Spiteful — reflect on certain hits. Greedy M1 strings punish you.
- Combustion — corpses explode. Finish a pack, then step out before the next pull.
- Stalwart — armor and stun/knockback resist. Heavy weapons feel worse; parries matter more.
- Berserking — low-HP enemies speed up. Do not leave one runner while looting.
- Observant — detection spikes. Stealth-adjacent Races lose free walks.
- Necrotic Aura — stacking anti-heal. Calvar-style healing problems get worse.
- Warped Time — enemy cooldowns shrink. Telegraph density rises.
- Splitting Shadow — chance of a wraith on death. Clear the ghost before the next door.
- Mana Leak — Skills cost more mana. Hybrid casters should skip this early.
If a card says “I do not understand this sentence,” vote no. Unread Affixes are just unpaid wipes.
Beginner loadout (save slot 1)
On a Theft-friendly Sin and a forgiving Race (Getting Started, Sin Advisor, Race Advisor):
- Enable zero Affixes for the first clean clears.
- Add one Low card you can explain in a single sentence.
- Never enable High/Max while you still mis-time F on basic elites.
- Never combine Affix greed with Pseudoprophecy or beginner-hostile Harmonite / Calvar stacks.
Harmonite already accelerates XP and can starve Potential count. Extra Affix XP can make that worse. Read Potentials and Relics before you “just take the XP.”
Farm and party loadouts
Farm slot: one or two Low/Medium cards that do not spawn floor hazards under loot orbs. Goal is repeatable Dungeon Farming loops, not a highlight wipe.
Party slot: the lowest common comfort. Write it in the lobby description (alpha now lets hosts add a description and a soul-range filter). If one player is learning Nespin dashes, do not also enable Observant + Warped Time.
Challenge slot: High/Max for Fragment nights after the Soul Tree already bought survivability. Extract rules still apply—see Party & Co-op.
Affixes versus other difficulty knobs
Affixes are not the only lever:
- Dungeon difficulty / party scaling already rises when more players join.
- Sins brand the character for the whole slot (Sins).
- Theme gimmicks (Glacier Hollow frostbite campfires, Sanguine Citadel blood packs) exist even on a blank Affix slate.
Stacking all three is how “easy” rooms become last-life rooms. Hub and Tutorial covers the globe, Zephyranthe, and lobby tools that sit in front of this vote.
After a patch
When Amorian Skies adds cards or changes vote rules, re-open this page’s checklist and Alpha Patch Notes. Codes still do not replace a bad vote (Codes Hub). Scripts that auto-accept Affixes will not read a new explosion puddle (Scripts Hub).

Vote like you still want the character after the boss door. Extra XP is worthless on a wipe you cannot explain.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Absolvement questions.
Should beginners take Absolvement Affixes?
No. Clear with zero Affixes until you can parry mid-dungeon packs, then add one Low-impact card you can explain.
How does Affix voting work in a party?
The group votes before the dungeon starts. Community notes describe a majority over 50% to enable an Affix. Agree in chat first.
Do Affixes increase Soul Fragments?
They raise XP and run difficulty. Harder surviving runs often bank more Fragments, but a fast wipe banks less than a clean no-Affix clear.
Can I save Affix loadouts?
Alpha added three save slots plus select-all-tier and random options. Keep a empty-learn set and a farm set.
