Absolvement Hub, Tutorial, and NPCs

Replay Zephyranthe, learn VF / SF / gold, then queue from the globe without getting lost in Limbo.

Absolvement Hub and Tutorial

Most wipes that “feel unfair” started in the hub, not in the boss fog. Players skip the tutorial, miss the globe, and never learn what Void Fragments, Soul Fragments, and gold each buy. This page is the lobby map for Absolvement’s Roblox alpha / early access hub—often nicknamed Limbo—plus the overhauled tutorial.

The mid-article video walks the island, NPCs, and first queue. Use this text as the checklist you keep open on a second monitor.

Tutorial (overhauled, two layers)

Current alpha notes split onboarding:

  1. An optional combat tutorial prompted on first join.
  2. Mini-guides that appear the first time you meet a system (orbs, smith, Affixes, and so on).

You are forced through the core tutorial at least once. To replay the combat tutorial or reset seen mini-guides, talk to Zephyranthe in the lobby. Do this after a long break or after a UI patch—see Alpha Patch Notes.

If the first-join prompt felt too fast, Zephyranthe is the intended recap, not a random YouTube short.

Currencies (VF, SF, gold)

CurrencyHow you earn itWhat it buys
Gold (G)Mobs, selling junk, some event roomsPotions, shop goods, blacksmith forge / polish
Soul Fragments (SF)Character wipe (and listed run actions)Soul Points on the Soul Tree (commonly 500 SF = 1 SP)
Void Fragments (VF)Hub quests (often ~10 VF per quest)Identity cosmetics / lanterns; diminishing returns if you spam quests the same real-life day

Quest NPCs offer trivial / standard / challenging jobs. Completing a quest and running a few more dungeons refreshes the board. Stacking too many same-day quests can apply a diminishing returns debuff that cuts VF payout. Cosmetics are not a reason to wipe a good slot.

There are still no promo codes for any of the three currencies (Codes Hub).

Globe, party, and lobby tools

The globe (party browser) is how you create or join a dungeon. Parties support up to five. Difficulty scales with who is in the lobby—a high-Soul host plus a new slot can spike the number. Alpha added:

  • Lobby description text
  • A soul-range filter so off-level players do not join by accident
  • Affix voting after the queue (Dungeon Affixes)

If you are five-plus levels above a lobby, community notes say XP and Fragment income can dry up because the run is “too easy.” Join the difficulty that matches the slot, not your ego. Details live on Party & Co-op.

NPC circuit (learn it once)

Exact positions shift with lobby art, but the jobs stay:

  • Zephyranthe — tutorial replay / guide reset
  • Identity — appearance, outfits, lanterns; can gift cosmetics and Void Fragments to players who have logged in before (including offline)
  • Dummies — test damage before you trust a new weapon
  • Town teleporter — smith, vendors, barber
  • Blacksmith — polish buffs and weapon forging (lobby costs ~2× dungeon smith)
  • Crystal trader — swap elemental crystals / shards toward the Skill you actually want
  • Sell vendor — turn fruit and junk into gold
  • Barber — per-hair-ID color and preview
  • Quest giver — VF board
  • Soul Tree teleporter — spend SF; the bat statue for Nespin lives in that cave / gate area

Walk this loop after every patch that mentions “UI overhaul.” The March 2026 log called out a full UI pass; later notes added inventory tags, hover numbers on health/mana/posture, and party health bars that no longer hide behind chat.

Minimap and Arcane Gateway

You can click-drag the minimap and scroll to move it vertically. Controller users get an awkward cursor-mode workaround because Roblox blocks some inputs. The same camera freedom buffs Arcane Gateway traversal across a room-based dungeon. Open M from Controls before you pull a packed room.

Disconnects and returning

Leaving a live dungeon tries to reconnect you to the same server. If that server is gone, you drop into a solo copy at your difficulty. Tell the party before you alt-tab. This is not a free extract.

First-session hub checklist

  1. Finish or replay Zephyranthe.
  2. Confirm Parry F, Roll Q, Consumables V, Map M.
  3. Pick Theft-friendly Sin and a forgiving Race (Getting Started).
  4. Glance at Identity only if you have VF to spare.
  5. Queue a low difficulty, zero Affix globe lobby.
  6. After the first wipe, teleport to the Soul Tree before making a new slot.

Sibling pages

The hub is a tool room. Learn who sells time (smith), who sells identity (Identity), and who sells another attempt (the Tree). Then press the globe on purpose.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Absolvement questions.

How do I replay the Absolvement tutorial?

Talk to Zephyranthe in the lobby to replay the combat tutorial or reset the mini-guides you have already seen.

What is the difference between Soul Fragments and Void Fragments?

Soul Fragments come mainly from wipes and buy Soul Points. Void Fragments come from hub quests and buy cosmetics at Identity.

Where do I start a dungeon?

Use the globe / party browser, create or join a lobby of up to five, vote Affixes, then enter. Match difficulty to the slot.

What happens if I disconnect mid-dungeon?

The game tries to put you back in the same server. If that server is gone, you continue solo at your difficulty.
