Absolvement Dungeon Farming Guide

Dungeon farming in Absolvement is not “clear every room until the map is empty.” It is a permadeath economy problem: lives, Affixes, potion charges, and time all convert into Soul Fragments and Relics—or into a frustrating wipe. This guide helps you plan loops during Roblox alpha / early access so each session moves the Soul Tree forward.

Set a farm objective before you queue

Pick one objective per run:

  • Practice objective — specific enemy telegraphs for Combat & Parry
  • Loot objective — Relics, shards, Potentials for Builds
  • Quest objective — Bloody Masses for Nespin
  • Boss objective — deliberate arena attempt via Bosses
  • Fragment objective — longest safe survival for Tree income

Mixing all five on a soft character is how beginners spend three lives on nothing.

Life budget rules

Treat each life as a token you spend for information or loot:

  1. Life one can be exploratory if Affixes are light.
  2. Life two should be disciplined—no vanity chests behind elite storms.
  3. Life three is emergency only unless the boss is clearly readable.

If you are on Pseudoprophecy, you effectively skipped this budget—do not farm that Sin until the Tree is mature. Prefer Theft-friendly starters from Getting Started and Sins.

Room-based themes (Sanguine Citadel, Glacier Hollow)

Public Release v0.0.1 replaced the old tile grid with randomized rooms. Two early themes to plan around:

  • Sanguine Citadel / Blood Citadel — blood-themed packs and Blood Mages for Bloody Masses (Nespin).
  • Glacier Hollow — frostbite pressure; sit at campfires when the theme asks, or the gimmick eats lives that Affixes did not.

Mob count now scales with room size and difficulty. Ranged enemies stay ranged. Rooms can spawn pitfalls and traps. Vote Affixes on a separate screen (Dungeon Affixes) before you blame the theme.

Route discipline in random layouts

Layouts randomize, but habits do not:

  • Open M and identify choke points before pulling.
  • Clear edge packs before center piles.
  • Skip optional high-density rooms when potions are low.
  • Mark mental “extract thresholds” (one life left + no potions = leave).
  • Prioritize biome goals (for example Blood / Sanguine Citadel when farming Bloody Masses).

Blood Mage packs in Blood Citadel are the efficient Bloody Mass source for Ancient Ritual—not random side rooms that only look thematic.

Room-based themes (alpha)

Public Release v0.0.1 moved dungeons off a tile grid onto randomized rooms. Two themes players still farm:

  • Sanguine Citadel — blood NPCs, Blood Mage Mass drops, tighter hallways that punish bows.
  • Glacier Hollow — frostbite pressure; sit campfires instead of sprinting every room.

Density now scales with room size and difficulty. Vote Affixes on a separate screen (Dungeon Affixes) and leave if reconnect drops you into a solo copy you did not plan.

Affix greed vs farm speed

Harder Affixes can improve rewards but also destroy farm consistency. Early accounts should farm on Affixes they can parry through cold. Raise difficulty only after your clear rate is boring. The Race Advisor and Sin Advisor help you stop stacking self-sabotage (Harmonite / Calvar early, Pseudoprophecy ever-too-soon).

Party farming (up to five)

Co-op farms fail when goals differ. Before entry agree on:

TopicDecision to lock
Affix loadLowest common comfort
Loot rulesNeed-before-greed or assigned Roles
Boss attemptYes / no / only if potions remain
Wipe callWho can call extract
Voice or textCalls for AoE and low lives

Details live on Party & Co-op. Binding mismatches cause fake “skill issues”—align on Controls.

Loot that is worth a life (and loot that is not)

Worth pressure: build-defining Relics, missing Skill shards, quest items like Bloody Masses, Potentials that unlock a planned synergy. Not worth a third life: cosmetic curios, duplicate junk, chests behind unread telegraphs.

Remember: there are no codes topping up your inventory today (Codes Hub). Farming skill is the economy.

Scripts and farm ethics

Autofarm / auto-parry tooling appears on the Scripts Hub, including Auto Parry / Farm and Qwenzy Autofarm. Using them risks ToS enforcement / bans and teaches you nothing about telegraphs. This farming guide assumes legitimate play. If you still read those pages, keep the disclaimers in mind.

Patch drift

Alpha can retune enemy density, drop rates, and biome modifiers. After updates, re-test one short loop and skim Alpha Patch Notes before committing a hard Affix party run.

Sibling guides

Farm like an investor: small consistent deposits into the Soul Tree beat spectacular bankruptcies in a single overextended delve.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Absolvement questions.

What should I farm first in Absolvement?

Farm survivable loops that teach parries and feed the Soul Tree. Add Bloody Mass farming when you are ready to unlock Nespin.

Should I take hard Affixes while farming?

Only after your clear rate is stable. Early Affix greed wastes lives and Fragment income.

Where do Bloody Masses drop?

Blood / Sanguine Citadel enemies drop them; Blood Mages are the efficient farm target for the Ancient Ritual quest.

Is autofarm safer than manual farming?

No. Scripts risk bans and skip combat learning. Manual loops are the sustainable path.
